Gangsta granny

Omar starts rehearsals on David Walliams' World Premiere UK Tour of Gangsta Granny, performing all over the UK and Ireland from November 2015 to December 2016.

Originally written as one of the many children's books by Walliams, 'Gangsta Granny' has been adapted for the stage by Birmingham Stage Company's Artistic Director, Neal Foster (Horrible Histories).

Omar will be duel-playing both Raj the shop-keeper and Flavio Favioli respectively.

Surrounded by a collection of colourful cameos, in particular Omar Malik doubling as Raj the kindly corner-shop owner and Flavio the rumba star."

The Times

"Omar Malik is perhaps underused as shopkeeper Raj but is superb as a self-obsessed dance professional ..Malik keeps just the right side of panto in his gloriously over the top performance."

"Omar Malik played both Raj the shopkeeper and the flamboyant TV personality Flavio, he played them with such humour and was stand out for his funny moments"

"..As a Strictly-type Flavio, Omar Malik almost steals the show"
